Songwriter's Quest
The annual SCCMA Songwriters Quest and Awards is one of our great traditions and is held each year during the Festival. To enter, simply fill in the Entry Form available for download below and post it with your entry fee of $6.00 per song entered.

NOTES:
- Only the song will be judged. Not the performance.
- Songwriter may enter one song only.
- The song may be performed by the writer or by another person.
- SCCMA Showband will provide backing if required.

Conditions Of Entry for Talent Quest
- Song entered must be either Bush or Country.
- Entrant may be Amateur/Semi-Professional/Professional.
- Song must not have been commercially recorded at time of entry. (Label Recording)
- Songwriter's Quest is a live Performance Only (Taped or computerised backing not acceptable)
- The Songwriter's Quest is not included in Best Overall of Weekend Talent Quest.
- Seven (7) sets of Chord Charts with clearly written words and chords must be supplied by the contestant on the night of the competition [three (3) for Judges plus an extra four (4) copies for the backing musicians if backing required}
- Only one (1) song per contestant permitted.
- Entry fee for competition - $6.00
- Songwriter and Talent Quest entry forms and fees may be submitted together.
- Fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.
- Include a stamped addressed envelope if you wish confirmation of entry.
- The winner will be invited to perform their song on Saturday Night as part of the Showcase Concert.
- Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Only twenty (20) contestants permitted in this section.
