Talent Quest
The annual SCCMA Talent Quest and Awards is one of our great traditions and is held each year during the Festival. There are sections for everyone to enter and some fantastic prizes to be won!
If you would like to enter one of the sections below, download the entry form, fill it and send it back to us with your entry fee. Also be sure to read the Conditions of Entry.

Please note - Confirmation of entry notifications will not be sent until after "TALENT QUEST" closing date of 2nd July 2010.
Conditions Of Entry for Talent Quest
- All material Performed must be Country.
- No Computerised or Recorded Backing will be Permitted.
- Backing Musicians and Sound Equipment will be supplied.
- One support musician may accompany an entrant in any section other than the Instrumental sections. Instrumental sections are solo performances only.
- No additional equipment will be permitted for use by Contestants.
- On the day of performance entrants must provide four (4) chord charts with words and chords clearly written in the correct key for each section entered.
- Entry fee for all sections except the Duo/Group section is $6.00 per section entered. Entries must be received with the entry fee by the closing date listed on the entry form.
- Entry fee for the Duo/Group section is $10.00 per entry. (i.e. Duo - $5.00 each)
- Fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.
- Entry forms & fees for both Songwriter & Talent Quests may be submitted togehter.
- Please enclose a self addressed envelope for confirmation of entry.
- Juniors and Sub-juniors may NOT enter Senior Sections but may enter all other sections in their nominated age group.
- Definition of Ages as of 16th July 2010:
- Sub-Junior: Twelve (12) years and under.
- Junior: Thirteen (13) to seventeen (17) years.
- Senior: Eighteen (18) years and over.
- Proof of age is required for Sub-Junior and Junior competitors.
- Winners of each section will be invited to perform their winning song at the SCCMA Showcase on Saturday Night after Presentations from 6:30PM.
- Harmony will only be permitted in the Duo/Group Section.
- Professional Artist(s) (i. e. Artist(s) with a Labelled Recording) or who perform FULL TIME are NOT PERMITTED To Enter the Amateur Talent Quest.
- Judges decision will be final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.
- Instrumental, Veterans, Sub Junior, Junior, Duo/Group, Senior Female and Senior Male Sections shall be limited to a maximum of ten (10) contestants per section.
- Junior and Senior Gospel sections shall be limited to a maximum of twelve (12) contestants.
- Junior Australiana, Senior Austraiana, Junior Country Rock and Senior Country Rock sections shall be limited to a maximum of fifteen (15) contestants per section.
